Well, in this post we are going to find out.
Let’s Look At The Benefits Of Eating Boiled Eggs
Through my research, I learned that eating eggs has a lot of benefits to our bodies.
They Are A Great Source Of Protein
Eggs contain a good amount of natural protein and amino acids that the body needs. It is said that eggs contain about 5 to 7 grams of protein in each egg. This depends on the size of the egg.
They Have a Lot Of Vitamins & Nutrients
Eggs are one of those foods that contain large sums of vitamins and nutrients within them. They contain vitamins A, D, E, B12, Iron, and many more.
Eggs are also high in omega 3 fatty acids which means that they can lower your blood pressure. But this is just for pastured raised eggs only.
They Can Easily Fill You Up
As you may already know, eating eggs can fill you up fast and keep you full for a very long long time. It’s perfect for when you want to start a fasting challenge for yourself.
This can be used by those who want to lose weight! Which is the reason you’re in this post right now, right?
Eggs Can Help You With Weight Loss
Since eggs can easily fill you up, this means that you can also lose a significant amount of weight when you use them in a diet plan.
Note: Using this diet for a very long period of time can be harmful to you. I will get into that in a moment!
The boiled-egg diet:
For Breakfast – 2 boiled eggs at least and a fruit
For Lunch – 1 Boiled egg and a low carb vegetable (Spinach or Broccoli)
For Dinner – Atleast 2 Boiled eggs and a low carb vegetable
What you are actually doing is increasing your protein intake and also reducing carbohydrates simultaneously.
I suggest that you use this diet for about 2 weeks maximum in order to see the effects of weight loss. Do not go longer than that because problems may arise.
The Problem I Have With This Egg Diet
Although this diet plan is effective, it’s very good for the short term, but for the long term, Not So Much! This is because It’s not easy to maintain.
due to eliminating too many carbs:
- You might end up feeling weak because you need some carbs in your system.
- Constipation, nausea, and bad breath may come next because eating too many eggs may affect your digestive system.
If you continue eating too many eggs you might end up developing heart problems. This is because a large percentage of calories in eggs are from fats. They also contain cholesterol which before you know it, may lead to having heart problems.
Note: Only Use this diet when you want to Lose Weight Fast and in a short period of time. Also, know that the amount of time for this diet should be 2 Weeks tops
